An appointment system is used at this practice and appointments are available to book from 08:30am Monday - Friday. If you chose to come down to the surgery and wait for an appointment when we open at 08:00, then please be aware the numbers given out by reception staff do NOT guarantee an appointment. The numbers ensure patients are seen at reception in order only. You will be given a time at which the doctor or nurse hopes to be able to see you. You should not wait more than 30 minutes in the waiting room without receiving an explanation for the delay. When surgeries do run late, please do not blame the receptionist it is not their fault.
You will have access to the doctor rapidly in case of emergency.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
You will be informed at your next appointment If you have undergone tests or X-rays ordered by the practice. If no further appointment needs to be arranged, you will be advised when and how to obtain the results.
The practice tries to ensure the telephone will be answered promptly and that there are sufficient staff to do this. You should be able to speak to a doctor by telephone.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
